In the instructions below you can find out how to apply your Gekkofix® window – or self-adhesive foil.
Materials:
- Scissors or utility knife
- Measuring tape
- Pen or pencil
- Wiper
- Water sprayer
- Extra pair of hands (optional)
Apply self-adhesive foil step-by-step:

| Carefully clean the surface of the section to be applied. Cut the film to a slightly larger size than the area to be covered. | Peel the protective layer of the film. It may help to spray the surface to be covered with water. | Apply the film to the surface of the section to be applied, making sure to position it carefully. | Use a wiper to smooth out the film starting in the middle in order to remove air and moisture from in between the surface and the film. Remove excess film using a sharp knife along a ruler or straight edge. |

| Carefully clean the surface of the section to be applied, making sure it is dust-free and smooth. Cut the film to a slightly larger size than the area to be covered. Spray the window with water. Peel the protective layer off the film. | Apply the film to the window, making sure to position it carefully. Wet the outer surface of the film to prevent scratching | Use a window wiper to smooth out the film starting in the middle in order to remove air and moisture from inbetween the window and the film. | Remove excess film using a sharp knife along a ruler or straight edge, and then smooth over. |
